Travelling with peptide pens
Pens travel fine as long as they stay cool and go in your hand luggage. Here is the practical version, including how long they last out of the fridge.
Hand luggage, always
Aircraft holds get far colder than a fridge and the temperature is not controlled. Pens should always travel in your cabin bag, never in checked luggage.
Liquids rules do not apply in the normal way to medical items. Keep pens in their original box so the label is visible, and declare them at security if asked.

Once a pen has spent time at room temperature, do not put it back into long-term fridge storage and expect the original date to hold.
Cool bags and gel packs
A small insulated pouch with one frozen gel pack keeps pens in range for a full day of travel. Wrap the pack in a cloth so the pen is not in direct contact with ice - freezing a peptide pen ruins it and cannot be reversed.
A pen that has frozen should not be used, even if it looks normal after thawing.
Hotels and short stays
Most hotel minibars run warmer than a domestic fridge and some cycle off during the day. Ask reception for a proper fridge if you are staying more than a few days; most will store it for you.
Sharps abroad
Needle disposal rules vary. A small travel sharps tube in your bag is the simplest answer, and pharmacies in most countries will take a sealed one.
